2024/2025 Season

November: Escape

“Escape expresses going through something hard and then escaping into the world, nature and being free again.”  - Brannon Warn-Johnston

Dr. Yuchi Chou leads the orchestra in our season opener, Escape, featuring two works by Seattle composer and violinist Brannon Warn-Johnston. With a theme of beauty and struggle, this concert takes the audience on a journey into the wilderness, where Warn-Johnston goes backpacking with her violin and staff paper, to experience scorching heat, cool waters and hope. Completing the program is SFO’s own Liam Frye-Mason playing the beautiful and melodic Cello Concerto by Kurt Atterberg, followed by Sibelius’s triumphant Symphony No 2.

December: Wishing You a Very Merry Crescendo

Join Seattle’s friendliest orchestra for a cup of cheer at our holiday family concerts. We’ll feature seasonal favorites and continue with our annual carol sing-a-long. Wear your brightest holiday sweater and celebrate the season with Santa and the SFO.

March: Echoes of the East

Experience the vibrant cultures of East Asia in Echoes of the East, a mesmerizing journey through music. Gustav Holst's enchanting Japanese Suite and Bao Yuan-Kai's evocative Sketches of Taiwan will paint vivid soundscapes of Eastern traditions, and the program will conclude with the timeless elegance of Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, performed by rising local phenom Lin Tokura. Let these captivating melodies transport you across continents and centuries in a celebration of cultural harmony and artistic brilliance.
